Timothy P. Michaels is a Partner at Huber Michaels & Company, where he has served clients since 1984 and became a partner in 1989. He specializes in income tax planning and preparation, estate planning, business valuation, and consulting. As a Certified Public Accountant, Tim has also provided expert witness testimony in courts across Maryland, Pennsylvania, and West Virginia.
A graduate of Frostburg State University with a B.S. in Accounting and a minor in Business Administration, Tim has been an active member of the Maryland Association of CPAs, the West Virginia Society of CPAs, and the American Institute of CPAs throughout his career.
Dedicated to community service, Tim has held leadership roles with several local organizations, including the Cumberland YMCA, Family Crisis Resource, Inc., and the Allegany County Human Resources Development Commission. He also served on Frostburg State University’s College of Business Advisory Board, supporting its accreditation efforts.

Keith is an Allegany County native and graduate of Westmar High School. He graduated in 1997 from Frostburg State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting and minors in business administration, economics, and mathematics. Keith received his CPA license in May 1999. Upon graduation, Keith worked for Regner & Summers, LLP in Frederick, MD and then Sarfino and Rhoades, LLP in Rockville, MD. He then accepted a position at Huber Michaels & Company in 2003 and returned to Allegany County. In 2019, he became a partner of our firm.
Keith has over 25 years of public accounting experience in individual and business taxes and working on all areas of financial statement preparation, compilation, review, and audit engagements.
He is a member of the AICPA and MACPA. He serves on the MACPA Ethics Committee and is the Treasurer of Kenny’s Hope for Childhood Cancer.

Ed serves as Vice President of Huber Michaels & Company, bringing more than four decades of accounting, tax, and business advisory experience to the firm. He earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Business and Economics, with a concentration in Accounting, from Slippery Rock State College in Slippery Rock, Pennsylvania, in May 1978. Ed successfully passed the Uniform Certified Public Accountant Examination in November 1980.

Throughout his career, Ed has been an active member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the Maryland Association of Certified Public Accountants, and the West Virginia Society of Certified Public Accountants. He has also demonstrated a strong commitment to professional leadership and community service, having held various positions with civic and professional organizations. These include:

Ed began his professional career at Smith, Elliott, Kearns & McLaughlin in Cumberland, Maryland, in 1978. He subsequently held positions at McLaughlin, Reineke & Associates; Hagan & McClintock in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania; and McLaughlin, Huber & Company in Cumberland before forming Huber Michaels & Company in January 1990, where he continues to serve clients with expertise and dedication.

Mindy is a lifelong local, graduating from Westmar High School in May 1997. She went on to earn her Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting with a minor in Business Administration from Frostburg State University in May 2001.
Mindy began her career with HMC in June 2001 and became a partner on January 1, 2010. Her professional expertise includes individual and business income tax preparation, business consulting services, and QuickBooks setup and support.
She resides in Barton, Maryland, with her husband and daughter. Outside of the office, Mindy enjoys spending time with her family and attending her daughter’s numerous high school and travel sporting events.

After beginning his career in Human Services, Ron earned his Certified Public Accountant designation in 1994. He has over 30 years of accounting experience, including a decade in the utility industry and more than 20 years with Huber Michaels & Company.
Ron has extensive experience across nearly all areas of public accounting and is dedicated to providing high-quality service and financial insight to the firm’s clients.

Danielle, a native of Somerset County, graduated from Meyersdale Area School in May 2001. She then attended Penn State University – Altoona for two years and then completed her education at Penn State University – State College. She graduated from Penn State University in May 2005 with a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting. She worked for Rodeheaver & Associates after graduation. She began her employment with Huber Michaels in November 2006. Her work experience consists of preparation of corporate, individual, trust and nonprofit tax returns, tax planning, governmental and nonprofit audits, financial statement preparation, compilations, reviews and supervision and review of payroll quarterly returns.

Valorie is a lifelong resident of Keyser, West Virginia, and a graduate of Keyser High School and Potomac State College, where she earned an Associate’s Degree in Business/Data Processing.

Valorie began her professional career with Ron Turner, CPA, where she worked for seven years before the firm was acquired by Huber Michaels & Company (HMC) in 1996. She has been with HMC ever since, bringing 36 years of accounting and business experience to the firm. Valorie is highly regarded for her dedication, expertise, and commitment to providing exceptional service to clients.

She has been married for 31 years and is a devoted mother of one daughter and one stepdaughter. Valorie is also a proud grandmother of four grandchildren.

Melissa is a proud graduate of Keyser High School. She continued her education at Potomac State College before earning her Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting from Fairmont State University in 1990.

Melissa began her accounting career in 1992 with Ron Turner, CPA, and has continued with the firm through its acquisition by HMC in 1996. With over 33 years of experience in the accounting profession, she brings extensive knowledge and dedication to her clients and colleagues alike.

Outside of work, Melissa enjoys life in Keyser with her husband of 31 years. She is the proud mother of a son and grandmother to a beloved granddaughter.

Bruce brings extensive experience and leadership to Huber Michaels & Co., with more than 40 years of trust and tax expertise. He holds an Associate Degree in Business Administration from Allegany College of Maryland, graduating magna cum laude, and a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from the University of Maryland, graduating cum laude. In addition, Bruce is a graduate of the ABA National Graduate Trust School at Northwestern University, where he completed the program with honors.
Bruce has over 15 years of direct trust experience and more than 40 years of trust tax experience, including 28 years with Huber Michaels & Co. His career reflects a deep commitment to both his profession and his community.
He has served as a board member and Chairman of the Board for the Cumberland Housing Authority for more than 20 years and currently serves as President of the Board and a long-time board member of the Union Rescue Mission, where he has contributed over two decades of dedicated service.

Jonathan joined Huber Michaels & Company in January 2023 as an intern and became a full-time Staff Accountant in August 2024. He is responsible for preparing tax returns, financial statements, and quarterly payroll reports, as well as providing general bookkeeping support to clients.
Jonathan earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting from West Virginia University in December 2022 and is currently pursuing his Master’s Degree in Accounting.
Outside of work, Jonathan enjoys golfing, fishing, playing basketball, and spending time with friends.

Samantha graduated from Potomac State College of West Virginia University in May 2022 with an Associate of Arts in Business and Economics degree in Business Administration. She continued her educational journey at Frostburg State University where she graduated in December 2024 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting. She started her employment at Huber Michaels & Company in January 2025. Her work experience consists of the preparation of individual, corporate, and non-profit tax returns and the preparation of financial statements. She also has experience with bookkeeping and the preparation of quarterly returns.

Nate graduated from Mountain Ridge High School in May 2022 and then continued his education at Garrett College where he played basketball and earned his Associate’s Degree in business administration. He started interning at Huber Michaels & Co. in July 2025 while he attends Frostburg State University to get his Bachelors Degree in Accounting and will graduate in May 2026. Outside of school and the office, Nate is the co-owner of Exotic Snacks Vending and also enjoys doing photography and videography.

Katie is a Bedford County, PA native who began her career with Huber, Michaels & Co. in July 2014 as a bookkeeper. She was promoted to Office Manager in June 2024. Katie has over 10 years of experience in bookkeeping, payroll processing, payroll tax returns, and QuickBooks. She is also a Maryland Notary Public.
When she’s not in the office, Katie enjoys spending time with her husband, their two energetic sons, and their three pets. She also enjoys working out, spending time with family and friends, and hunting for bargains while shopping.

Sarah is originally from Virginia, but now currently resides in Cumberland, MD with her two children, and 5 pets. She joined the Huber Michaels team in August 2022. Sarah is a bookkeeper for the firm who brings 22 years of customer service experience and takes pride in delivering accurate, timely work that her clients can always count on.
Balancing her career and family has taught her the value of efficiency, integrity, and compassion – qualities she brings to every project she takes on.

Erin joined the team in July 2023 as a bookkeeper. Her responsibilities include bookkeeping, processing payroll, preparing payroll returns, and assisting with general office duties. Erin brings over 20 years of experience in customer service, retail office management, and sales, which contribute to her strong organizational skills and client-focused approach.
Originally from Orlando, Florida, Erin was a lifelong resident of the Sunshine State before relocating to Frostburg, MD in 2023. She now enjoys life in Frostburg with her husband, adult child, two cats, and two rabbits.

Elaine graduated in the top ten of her class from Keyser High School in 1986 and earned a four-year Certificate in Accounting from the Mineral County Technical Center.
Before joining the firm in 1999 as a Secretary, Elaine gained twelve years of experience in the food service industry. In addition to her administrative responsibilities, she assists with payroll processing, payroll tax preparation, financial statements, and a variety of other accounting and office duties.
Elaine takes great pride in providing prompt, professional service delivered with kindness and respect.
Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her family, attending church and teaching Sunday school, cooking, reading, and listening to gospel music.

Devan joined Huber Michaels & Company in June 2021 and serves as the Administrative Assistant in the Cumberland office. She is responsible for managing the firm’s billing services, preparing payrolls and quarterly payroll returns, and assisting clients with a variety of administrative and accounting needs. Devan is also a commissioned Maryland Notary Public.
She graduated in the spring of 2020 from Allegany College of Maryland in Cumberland, MD, earning an Associate’s Degree in Applied Technical Studies in Business.
Devan resides in Bedford, Pennsylvania, with her daughter. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with family and friends, scrapbooking, shopping, and traveling.
